0.192, time stamp: 0x5b475026". It was working great a few days ago. please help.
well i finally found the problem. and it seems to be an update for the system. or something. i updated my sony laptop yesterday (around 1200 hrs). since then this problem occurs. on the sony laptop, it happened to me twice. now that i've found the problem, i'll be certain to avoid it. i've a sony vaio t series laptop, and i also need some help in transferring files over from the camera to the laptop using firewire. so i've finally installed a second power cord and a new firewire cable. i'm working at it.
so if anyone has any suggestions for me, i'll be most grateful. sorry for the long post. thanks
camtasia studio works fine for me. there might be some problems on vista and the usb driver. and i couldnt get camtasia to start on my sony laptop. this might also be your problem.
the reason i wrote this post is, i've had a lot of problem with camtasia studio and i'm doing my best to get it to work. its a great program, but when it goes wrong it goes big. i'm not in any position to pay 100's of $$$ to get it to work. the software should be no different to the camera, or the lcd monitor.
thanks for your help.
i hope some of you out there can help with this.

I have tried Camtasia Studio on all three of my computer systems, Vista, XP and Linux, and it has worked fine on all three. It is possible that this is a driver problem, but I have never had any trouble with Camtasia Studio.
As to Camtasia Studio not being able to read some of your firewire footage, that's very strange, and very unlikely. I have never had that problem at all, with anything.
Have you tried the Setup? You should see the Setup program when you double-click on Camtasia Studio. The Setup program will allow you to set all the options, including the codec settings, so that you can record at any resolution.
